No More Mini-Vans at Victory Monument!

Attention all Backpackers to Thailand!
Victory Monument (or Anusawari Station in Thai ) was famous for being the centre of transportation in Bangkok.
Many buses and mini-vans provided transportation from central Bangkok to outer parts of Thailand.
For years,Victory Monument was the Mecca for Backpackers, low-budget travellers and locals.

However Thai Government is looking at this being the cause of heavy traffic in Bangkok.
And has banned the mini-vans out of Victory Monument.

Picture of Bangkok South Bus Terminal (a.k.a Sai Tai Mai Terminal)

It seems that there are no mini-vans in service in Victory Monument anymore. Buses are still operating.

According to my information, all the mini vans have moved to Bangkok Southern Bus terminal.
(a.k.a. Sai Tai Mai bus Terminal)

You can purchase your tickets at these booths

You can reach there by taking the public bus or by taxi from central Bangkok for 150~200THB (approximately 40~50mins)

Hope this information helps anyone planning to travel in Bangkok!
